The House Government Organization Committee met today and discussed three bills.
House Bill 2699 would authorize Workforce West Virginia to hire additional at-will employees. The bill moves to the Finance Committee.
House Bill 2621 would mandate certain certifications and training for specific members of fire departments. It would allow for specialized personnel who are not firefighters to be members of a department. The bill moves to the House Floor.
Senate Bill 270 would provide for the collection of the hotel occupancy tax by marketplace facilitators, for example, individual persons or state parks. The bill moves to the House Floor.
