The House of Delegates met this morning to mark the 31st day of the 2013 Regular Session.
Senate Bill 197, which relates to expired and unappropriated funds, was passed, marking the first bill to pass both houses.
The House adopted eight House Concurrent Resolutions, including HCR 27, which would rename the “West Hamlin Bridge” the “Army SSGT Arthur N. McMellon Memorial Bridge.”
Also, the House had eight bills on second reading, including House Bill 2847, which relates to the collection of real property and personal property taxes. All bills were advanced to third reading. House Bill 2861, which relates to at-risk students in public schools, was read for the first time.
The West Virginia Golf Association was on hand at the beginning of the session to receive a citation from the House congratulating their achievements over their past 100 years.
The House will reconvene at 11am on Monday.
