House Amends Non-Partisan Election of Judges to Address Veto

The House reconvened this evening and completed legislative action after hearing Senate messages and messages from the Governor. House Bill 2010, relation to the non-partisan election of judges, was amended to address concerns in a veto by Governor Tomblin. The amended bill was passed by the House and sent to the Senate.

The House also concurred with amendments to Senate Bill 6 to meet the objections of the governor. The bill has completed legislative action again and has been sent to the governor. This bill relates to medical professional liability.

The House also concurred Senate amendments for House Bill 2272 and passed it. This bill relates to the authority of the Board of Pharmarcy. 

The House concurred with Senate amendments for and passed two other bills.

 

The House is adjourned until 11:00 a.m. tomorrow
