The House met today at 11 a.m. for a brief floor session.
Before breaking for more committee meetings, the House of Delegates introduced six bills.
A new committee was also discussed, the Select Committee on Prevention and Treatment of Substance Abuse.
Delegate Joe Ellington, R-Mercer, is the chair of the newly formed committee. Delegate Chris Stansbury, R-Kanawha, is the vice chair. The first meeting will be next Tuesday.
The following committees will meet today:
Finance at 1 p.m. in 460M
Health and Human Resources at 2 p.m. in 215E
Energy at 2 p.m. in 418M
Senior Issues at 1 p.m. in 434M
There will be a public hearing in the House chamber on House Bill 4005 at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
The House adjourned until 11 a.m. tomorrow.
