House Bill 2101 passes

The House of Delegates met today at 11 a.m.

A citation was presented to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of South Central West Virginia. January 2016 was noted as National Mentoring Month and Jan. 21 was titled West Virginia Mentoring Day.  

House Bill 2101 passed unanimously. The bill eliminates two obsolete government entities which are considered unnecessary, inactive or redundant. The two removed entities will be the West Virginia Council on Aging and the Patient Injury Compensation Plan Study Board.

House Bill 4002, House Bill 4007 and House Bill 4031 were all sent to third reading with amendments.

House Bill 2147, House Bill 2584, House Bill 2588, House Bill 2796, House Bill 2800 and House Bill 4038 were sent to second reading. 

The forecasted weather has caused all meetings for tomorow to be cancelled.

 

The Following Committees will meet today:

Education: 5 p.m. in Senate Finance

Health and Human Resources: 2 p.m. in 215E

Energy: 2 p.m. in 410M

 

The House will reconvene tomorrow at 9 a.m
