The House convened today for the eighth day of the second 83rd session and passed House Bill 2869.
House Bill 2869 – providing for paid leave for certain state officers and employees during a declared state of emergency – passed 96-0 with four absent. This is the first bill that has passed through the House this session. The bill will now move to the Senate for consideration.
House Bill 4005 – clarifying that appeals to the Supreme Court are a matter of right – was read a second time and advanced to third.
House Bill 4020 – making technical corrections in the code when referencing chapter 49 – was read a first time and advanced to seond.
