The House convened today at 11 a.m. during the thirteenth day of the Legislative session.
The House passed four bills: House Bill 3089, House Bill 4002, House Bill 4013, and House Bill 4026.
H.B. 3089 – relating to the adoption of instructional resources for use in the public schools – was passed 72-24. The bill will now move to the Senate.
H.B. 4002 – providing that all delegates shall be elected from one hundred single districts following the United States Census in 2020 – passed 72-25, moving it to the Senate for consideration.
H.B. 4013 – clarifying venue in West Virginia state courts as it applies to nonresidents of the state – passed unanimously, moving the bill to the Senate.
H.B. 4026 – exempting cashiers from licensure under the Larry W. Border Pharmacy Practice Act – passed 94-2 and will now be sent to the Senate for further consideration.
H.B. 2028 – relating to the venue for suits and other actions against the state – was read a second time.
