Six Bills Taken Up for Immediate Consideration in Senate

Six bills reported out of committees were taken up for immediate consideration and read a first time prior to the second committee reference. In addition, four bills on third reading were passed and sent to the House for consideration. One of these bills,Senate Bill 165, would set out procedures for returning any unused donated personal leave days back to the donor or donors for school employees. Four bills on second reading were advanced to third reading,Senate Bill 185 was also advanced to third reading, but with the right to amend and Senate Bill 465 was laid over until tomorrow.

21 bills were on first reading on the Senate calendar and were advanced to second reading.

Government Organization – 1:30 p.m. – 208W
Banking and Insurance – 2:00 p.m. – 208W
Education – 2:00 p.m. – 451M
Finance – 3:00 p.m. – 451M
Judiciary – 3:00 p.m. – 208w

The following committees will meet tomorrow:
Finance – 9:30 a.m. – 451M

The Senate will recess until 5:30 p.m. this evening.
