The Senate passed two bills and advanced two others during a brief morning floor session.
The bills passed include House Bill 109, which provides for teacher empowerment teams and Senate Bill 1013, which relates to hiring professional school personnel.
In other floor action, Senate Bill 1012,which relates to additional compensation for certain professional school personnel, was referred to the Senate Finance Committee on second reading, while Senate Bill 1001, which relates to school committees, was recommitted to the Senate Education Committee on third reading.
The Senate will reconvene today at 5:30 p.m.
