Today the Senate recognized the Southern Area Public Library from Lost Creek, West Virginia for earning the award for the Best Small Library in America for 2013 by the Library Journal.
Senate Resolution 27 was adopted in honor of their hard work and dedication to earn this award.
Also on the floor, Senate Bill 139, which would regulate certain purchases of precious metals and gems and Senate Bill 435, which would continue the municipal home rule program were originally on second reading, but due to a suspension of the constitutional rule, both bills were read a third time and passed unanimously.
