Senate Reads Education Reform Bill 359 For The First Time Today

Today, Senate Bill 200, relating to the Eyewitness Identification Act and Senate Bill 372, creating a criminal offense for interfering with an emergency service call were both unanimously passed today.

Also on the floor, Senate Bill 359, relating to education reform was read for the first time prior to going to the finance committee. Also Senate Bill 159, creating uniform real property transfer on death act, Senate Bill 368, clarifying certain criminal conviction constitutes basis for voiding marriage, Senate Bill 383, authorizing family court judges to appoint counsel in certain contempt cases and Senate Bill 427, clarifying requirements for certain motor vehicle searches were read for the first time today.

The Senate also adopted three resolutions recognizing the Huntington Prep basketball team, Cabell Midland Cross Country team for their AAA 2013 State Championship and truck drivers for their safe driving.
