The Senate met today to introduce seven bills and pass two resolutions, one joint resolution and one concurrent resolution.
One of the bills introduced today, Senate Bill 309, would redefine “eligible institutions” to receive PROMISE scholarship funds.
The Senate also adopted Senate Resolution 3, which honored Harley Orrin Staggers Sr. From Mineral County. Senator Bob Williams spoke of his character, his past careers and his past achievements.
Additionally, the Senate adopted Senate Resolution 4 celebrating the first ever Monongalia County Day.
The Senate will adjourn until tomorrow at 10 a.m.
