House Bill 2979 completed legislation following the Senate’s passage of the bill during today’s floor session. HB 2879 relates to certain limitations on the amount of state funds on deposit in any depository. The bill now awaits the Governor’s signature.
The Senate also advanced four bills on second reading to third, including HB 2670 and HB 2933. HB 2670 would make a supplementary appropriation to the Bureau of Senior Services – Lottery Senior Citizens funds. HB 2933, another appropriation bill, relates to the Department of Administration Public Defender Services.
House Bill 2755, relating to service and professional employee positions at jointly established schools, was advanced from first to second reading.
