Senate Overrides Veto, Completes Action on Pain-Capable Bill

The Senate passed House Bill 2568 during today’s floor session as a result of a veto from the Governor. HB 2568, creating the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, completed legislation upon passge and overrode the Governor’s veto. 

The Senate also reconsidered action on Senate Bill 6, relating to medical professional liability, which was veteod due to technical errors. The bill was amended and passed. 

Four supplementary House Bills on third reading were passed by the Senate. HB 2755, relating to service and professional employee positions at jointly estbalished schools, was laid over on second reading. 

All bills on first reading were considered having been read a first time and were advanced to second.

 

The Senate is adjourned until 5 p.m. Sunday, March 8th.
