Senate reads WV Workplace Freedom Act for the first time

The Senate met today at 11 a.m.

Senate Bill 1 was read today for the first time, establishing the WV Workplace Freedom Act. 

Bills 313-326 were also introduced to the Senate this morning. Senate Bill 318 clarifies that a homeschooled student may not be classified as habitually absent. Senate Bill 319 permits temporary delegation of certain custodial powers by a parent or guardian.

Senate Bill 263 was read for the second time today. 

Senate Bill 253 was laid over on its second reading and will retain its place on the calendar.

The following committees will meet today:

Health and Human Resources at 1 p.m. in 208W

Energy at 1 p.m.

Government Organizations at 2 p.m.

Senate Judiciary at 3 p.m. 

The following committee will meet tomorrow:

Natural Resources at 9 a.m.

 

The Senate will reconvene tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
