Senators met today to report HB 107, relating generally to the Tax Reform Act of 2017, from the Select Committee on Tax Reform. The bill was referred to the Senate Finance Committee which will be meeting at 12 p.m. in room 451M today. The Senate also announced the Senate Judiciary Committee will be meeting at 12 p.m. in room 208W.
The following changes were announced by the Chair to Standing Committees; Senator Maynard and Senator Swope from Judiciary to Finance; and, Senator Maroney and Senator Sypolt from Finance to Judiciary.
The Senate is in recess until 2 p.m.
Following the recess, the Senate met and HB 107, relating generally to the Tax Reform Act of 2017, was reported to the floor from the Senate Finance Committee.
Additionally, two bills, SB 1003, relating generally to WV Parkways Authority, and, SB 1006, increasing funding for State Road Fund, were laid over on third reading on the Senate Calendar.
The Chair also announced Senator Swope was moved back to the Judiciary Committee from the Finance Committee and Senator Sypolt was moved back to the Finance Committee from the Judiciary Committee.
The Senate stands adjourned until tomorrow at 10 a.m.
