The Senate sent House Bill 107, the Tax Reform Act of 2017, to confrence committee during a brief floor session Wednesday morning.
Members from the Senate and the House will now attempt to work out the differences in the bill and come up with a compromised revenue measure to ballance the 2018 fiscal year budget. Conference committee members from the Senate include: Ryan Ferns (R-Ohio, 01), Ed Gaunch (R-Kanawha, 08), Craig Blair (R-Berkeley, 15), Glenn Jeffries (D-Putnam, 08) and Roman Prezioso (D-Marion, 13).
The Senate laid over Senate Bill 1009, relating generally to tax procedures and administration, and the Budget Bill on second reading.
The Senate also received amended revenue estimates from the Governor.
The Senate has adjourned until tomorrow at 11 a.m.
