Lincoln County Delegate Administered Oath of Office

Delegate Jeff Eldridge (D-Lincoln), representing the 22nd Delegate District, was sworn into office during a brief ceremony Tuesday in the House Chamber with his wife Stacy, two daughters, Madeline and Jillian, and family friend Kathy Chapman.

Administering the oath of office to Eldridge was 29th Circuit Court Judge Phillip M. Stowers.

The 1st Regular Session of the 82nd Legislature begins on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015.

 

Delegate Mike Pushkin Takes His Oath of Office

Delegate Mike Pushkin (D-Kanawha), representing the 37th Delegate District, was sworn into office during a brief ceremony Wednesday in the House Chamber among friends and supporters.

House Clerk Greg Gray, administered the oath of office to Pushkin, as his last offical act as Clerk, he retires tonight.

The 1st Regular Session of the 82nd Legislature begins on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015.

Senator Ed Gaunch Takes Oath of Office in Ceremony

In a ceremony in a packed Senate Chamber which included his wife Marilyn, son Louis, daughter Angela and grandchildren Garrett, Hannah, Rebecca, Adrianne and Gary, Senator Ed Gaunch (R-Kanawha) was sworn into office.

Surrounded by friends, family and supporters, Senator Gaunch was administered the oath of office by West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry II.

Delegate Joe Statler Sworn in on Sunday

Joined Sunday in the House of Delegates Chamber by his wife Louie and three daughters Marissa, Kristen and Michelle, Delegate Joe Statler (R-Monongalia) took his oath of office.

West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Brent Benjamin administered the oath of office to Delegate Statler.

The 1st Regular Session of the 82nd Legislature begins on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015.

 

Harrison County Delegate Takes Oath Of Office

Delegate Patsy Samuel Trecost II (D-Harrison) was sworn into office this morning in a ceremony in the House Chamber. He was accompanied by his son Tre and Pastor Michael Hopkins of the Simpson Creek Baptist Church in Bridgeport, WV.

House Clerk Greg Gray administered the oath to Delegate Trecost.

The 2015 Regular Session begin on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015.

Senator Mullins Sworn Into Office

Senator Jeff Mullins (R-Raleigh), representing the 9th Senatorial District, took his oath of office today in the Senate Chamber accompanied by his wife Andrea, sons Keith and Chase, sister and Department of Health and Human Resources Secretary Karen Bowling and other family and friends.

Senator Mullins was administered the oath by West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Brent Benjamin.

The 2015 Regular Session of the 82nd West Virginia Legislature begins Wednesday, January 14th, 2015.

 

 

Six Lawmakers Take Oath of Office

Over the weekend and today a group of six lawmakers took the oath of office for both the House of Delegates and State Senate.

On Sunday, Delegate Walter Duke (R-Berkeley) was administered the oath in the House Chambers by West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Brent Benjamin. He was joined at the ceremony by his wife Mary.

On Monday, Senator Ron Stollings (D-Boone), Delegate Harry Keith White (D-Mingo) and Delegate Justin Marcum (D-Mingo) were each administered the oath by Judge Miki J. Thompson of the 30th Judicial Circuit, also in the House Chamber.

Monday afternoon, Judge Joanna Tabit of the 13th Judicial Circuit administered the oath of office to two Delegates in the House Chamber. Delegate John McCuskey (R-Kanawha) took his oath with his wife Wendy in attendance.

Delegate Brad White (R-Kanawha) took his oath with his wife Lisa and his two daughters, Bria and Braelyn, by his side as well as a number of friends and family in attendance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kent Leonhardt and Robert Karnes Sworn Into Senate

Kent Leonhardt (R- Marion, 2nd District) and Robert Karnes (R-Upshur, 12th District) were each sworn into the Senate Friday afternoon during individual ceremonies in the Senate Chamber.

Senator Leonhardt was joined at the ceromony by his wife Shirley, his mother Arlene and his youngest of three sisters, Karin.

Senator Karnes was joined by his wife Amy and his eight children: Nathan, Rachel, Elijah, Emma, Sarah, Seth, Asa and Levi.

West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry II administered the oath of office to both Senators.

The first Regular Session of the 82nd West Virginia Legislature begins at Noon on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015. 

 

 

 

 

Delegate Stansbury Takes His Oath of Office

This evening, West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry II administered the oath of office to Chris Stansbury (R-Kanawha), representing the 35th Delegate District.

Delegate Stansbury was joined at his swearing-in ceremony by his wife Amber and his two young sons, Grant and Reed, as well as a group of supporters and friends.
