One Bill Completes Legislative Action, Four Others Pass Out of the House

Another bill completed legislative action today. Senate Bill 257 is now awaiting the Governor’s signature and will repeal outdated penitentiary code provisions. Committee Substitute for House Bill 4389, House Bill 4464, House Bill 4465 and House Bill 4513 were passed out of the House today and will go on to the Senate for its consideration.

There were two bills on second reading and two bills on first reading on the House Special Calendar today.

There were 13 new bills introduced in the House today. House Bill 4580 would designate December 7, “Pearl Harbor Day,” as a legal state holiday.

The House will reconvene at 11:00 a.m.on Monday, February 18.
