The House convened today at 11 a.m. for the tenth day of session.
House Bill 4020 – making technical corrections in the code when referencing chapter 49 – passed unanimously and will now be sent to the Senate for further consideration.
H. B. 3089 – relating to the adoption of instructional resources for use in the public schools – was read a second time.
H. B. 4002 – providing that all delegates shall be elected from one hundred single districts following the United States Census in 2020 – was read a second time.
H. B. 4013 – clarifying venue in West Virginia state courts as it applies to nonresidents of the state – was read a second time.
H. B. 4026 – exempting cashiers from licensure under the Larry W. Border Pharmacy Practice Act – was read a second time.
H. B. 2028 – relating to the venue for suits and other actions against the state – was read for the first time, advancing to second reading.
House Judiciary Committee will resume their meeting today at 12:15 p.m. in 410M.
The sub-committee on Redistricting will meet Monday, Jan. 22, at 8:30 a.m. in 410M.
