Senate Moves Bills to Second Reading

The Senate convened today at 11 a.m.

Senate Bill 300 was laid over on its second reading for one day. SB 300 will create a five year tax-credit for buisnesses locating on post coal mine sites.

All other bills on second reading were moved to the third reading. There were six bills read for the first time today.

House Bill 2869 was passed to the Senate and has been sent to the Government Organization Cmmittee.

Senate Joint Resolution 9, Governor Justice’s Just Cut Taxes and Win bill was introduced to the Senate. Senate Bills 310-321 were introduced today as well.

The Senate adopted Senate Concurent Resolution 6, to support construction of Gold Star Families Memorial Monument. It has been sent to the House.

Also adopted today was Senate Resolution 10 which designated January 18, 2018 as Tucker County Day.

 

The Senate is adjourned until 11 a.m. tomorrow.
