The Joint Finance Committee met this morning.
First, the committee heard from the Department of Revenue. The general revenue fund is $34.8 million over the estimate. The personal income tax revenue and sales tax revenue are both up. Severance is under the estimate. The state road fund is $27.2 million over the estimate.
The Department of Health provided an update on the Rural Health Transformation Program. Recently announced awards include the following: $2,400,000 to WVU Health System / ASCEND; $612,000 to CAMC; $1,176,000 to Spotted Owl; and $612,000 to Cabell-Huntington.
RHTP has developed a program dashboard that tracks all entities that have received funds and the counties being served. The initiatives receiving some funds include Connected Care Grid, Rural Health Link, HealthTech Appalachia, Mountain State Care Force, Smart Care Catalyst, Health to Prosperity, and Personal Health Accelerator.
The Office of Share Administration is working to enhance fiscal controls. The program is within its timeline, and CMS is expecting to produce its first quarterly report at the end of November.
