Four Bills Passed The Senate

This morning four bills passed including Senate Bill 6, Senate Bill 7, Senate Bill 106, and Senate Bill 335. Senate Bill 6 relates to medical professional liability. Senate Bill 7 will require CPR and care for conscious choking instruction in public schools. Senate Bill 106 will except professional engineer members from sanitary board when the project engineer is under contract. Senate Bill 335 will create the Access to Opioid Antagonists Act.    

Senate Bill 175 and Senate Bill 249 were advanced to third reading and all bills on first reading advanced to second reading. Senate Bill 175 would authorize DHHR promulgate legislative rules and Senate Bill 249 would prohibit straight party voting.  Five bills were introduced.

The Senate Resolution 19  was adopted. The resolution recognizes February 6, 2015, as National Wear Red Day in support of the importance of the ongoing fight against heart disease and stroke by the wearing of the color red.

The following  Senate committees will meet today:

Agriculture will meet at 1 p.m. 451M

Judiciary will meet at 3 p.m. in 208W

Finance will meet at 3 p.m. in 451M

 

The following Senate committees will meet tomorrow Febuary 3rd, 2015:

Transportation and Infastructure  will meet at 10 a.m. in 451M
