Youngest Delegate in West Virginia History Takes the Oath of Office

In a ceremony attended by friends and family in the House Chamber tonight, newly elected Saira Blair, (R-Morgan), representing the 59th Delegate District, took her oath of office. 

Delegate Blair won her primary at the age of 17, and at 18-years-old is the youngest Delegate ever elected in the state of West Virginia. The West Virginia University freshman was administered the oath of office by 23rd Circuit Judge John C. Yoder.

The first Regular Session of the 82nd West Virginia Legislature begins on January 14th, 2015.
