Six Lawmakers Take Oath of Office

Over the weekend and today a group of six lawmakers took the oath of office for both the House of Delegates and State Senate.

On Sunday, Delegate Walter Duke (R-Berkeley) was administered the oath in the House Chambers by West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Brent Benjamin. He was joined at the ceremony by his wife Mary.

On Monday, Senator Ron Stollings (D-Boone), Delegate Harry Keith White (D-Mingo) and Delegate Justin Marcum (D-Mingo) were each administered the oath by Judge Miki J. Thompson of the 30th Judicial Circuit, also in the House Chamber.

Monday afternoon, Judge Joanna Tabit of the 13th Judicial Circuit administered the oath of office to two Delegates in the House Chamber. Delegate John McCuskey (R-Kanawha) took his oath with his wife Wendy in attendance.

Delegate Brad White (R-Kanawha) took his oath with his wife Lisa and his two daughters, Bria and Braelyn, by his side as well as a number of friends and family in attendance.
